Meeting Held on Firduisi Development Program Led by Avinyan

On July 9, a meeting was held under the leadership of Tigran Avinyan, the acting Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia, regarding the development program for the 33rd neighborhood of Yerevan (Firduisi). The meeting was focused on coordinating the ongoing works of the working group established for this purpose.

In his opening remarks, Tigran Avinyan presented the results of the working group's activities. Design work has been completed for 13 lots, with 8 of them fully finalized. Seven lots have applied for comprehensive expertise, and one lot has received a construction permit.

To make the process of property sales more efficient, the Yerevan Municipality's Investment Program Implementation Office has been involved. Contracts are expected to be signed with around 50 families, thereby completing the sales process.

The compensation amount for properties has increased from $600-700 per square meter to $1700-2000.

Negotiations are ongoing with potential investors concerning five lots, which are expected to conclude in the coming months. A state environmental impact assessment conclusion has already been granted for all lots.

Design tasks related to all existing monuments within the development area have been submitted, which will serve as a basis for the developers when landscaping the areas around these monuments. Additionally, the neighborhood's monuments will be preserved, ensuring that the conditions previously announced by the Armenian government are met.

The acting Deputy Prime Minister added that the reconstruction of the 33rd neighborhood of Yerevan is a priority for the government. According to him, although the process is complex and inherited, it must reach a logical conclusion. Tigran Avinyan emphasized that the 33rd neighborhood of Yerevan holds important significance for the capital, both in terms of historical context and the creation of a healthy and comfortable urban environment.

During the meeting, current issues regarding the development of the 33rd neighborhood of Yerevan were discussed, including comprehensive expertise, a list of properties due for demolition, demolition permits, the projects of several lots, and the commencement of construction work. In the second part of the meeting, representatives of the developers for the 33rd neighborhood joined the discussions with the working group. Relevant recommendations were given to the respective authorities concerning upcoming tasks.
