COVID-19 Vaccination Statistics in Armenia: How Many Women and Men Have Been Vaccinated

As of now, a total of 92,295 people have been vaccinated against COVID-19 in Armenia, which accounts for approximately 3.3% of the population. This was announced today during a press briefing by Acting Minister of Health Anahit Avanesyan.

According to the ministry's data, women have been vaccinated more than men. 52.4% of women have received the first dose of the vaccine, while 52.3% have received the second dose. For men, 47.6% received the first dose, and 47.7% received the second dose.

“Surveys show that women approach vaccinations much more cautiously, while men tend to participate in vaccinations more readily; however, our figures reveal the opposite: women are far more inclined to get vaccinated. This may be related to the fact that women are more likely to seek medical assistance,” stated Avanesyan.
