Armenia to Receive Johnson and Novavax Vaccines This Autumn, Says Avanesyan

The epidemiological situation in Armenia has remained quite manageable over the past 2-3 months, stated Acting Minister of Health Anahit Avanesyan during a press conference today.

“We must do everything to maintain our status in the green zone and to ensure that we continue to have a favorable situation in the near future. Unfortunately, the vaccination process is not advancing globally at a pace that would allow us to establish a threshold of herd immunity and prevent the virus from continuously entering,” the Acting Minister noted.

According to Avanesyan, Armenia will receive about 50,000 doses of the Johnson vaccine, which is used as a single dose, and around 300,000 doses of the Novavax vaccine, which requires two doses.
