Second Earthquake Recorded in Armenia Today

A second earthquake has been recorded in Armenia today. This information was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the RA.

“On July 8, at 17:38 local time (13:38 GMT), an earthquake was registered by the seismic monitoring network of the RA Ministry of Emergency Situations at a geographical coordinates of 41.19° North latitude and 43.93° East longitude, in the border area between Georgia and Armenia, 13 km northeast of the village of Bavra in Shirak Province, at a depth of 10 km, with a magnitude of 3.1,” the statement said.

It was reported that the intensity of the underground tremor in the epicentral area was measured at 4 points. The earthquake was felt in the Bavra and Ashotzk villages of Shirak Province and in the village of Paghaghbyur in Lori Province, with an intensity of 3 points.
