Former Head of Arinj Community Accused of Exceeding Official Authority

The Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia has brought charges against the former head of the Arinj community under the first part of Article 309 of the Criminal Code of Armenia, according to a report from the Investigative Committee.

The investigation has revealed that the former head, aware of an existing territorial dispute among the residents of the Arinj community, evidently exceeded his authority and intentionally made a decision regarding the restoration of property rights for one of the residents. This resulted in the state registration of property rights, causing significant harm to the other party involved in the territorial dispute.

Note: The suspect or accused person is presumed innocent until proven guilty in accordance with the procedure established by the Criminal Procedure Code of the Republic of Armenia, through a court decision that has entered into legal force.
