Investigators Submit Resignation Applications: What's Happening in the System

There is a parade of resignations in the Military Investigative Department. According to information from "Zhoghovurd" newspaper, law enforcement officers have found themselves facing a problem, which is why, having no other option, they are submitting their resignation applications. The investigators are presenting applications to their department heads, indicating that they can no longer work under these conditions, as they are overwhelmed with thousands of criminal cases that they cannot manage in time.

In short, being an investigator has become a thankless job, and thus specialists prefer to leave the system. Recently, Haikaz Melkonyan, one of the investigators from the Ijevan Military Investigative Division, submitted his resignation, and despite attempts to persuade him to stay, he did not agree. Many military investigators have also submitted their applications, moving to the prosecutor's office, considering the prosecutor's job to be lighter and more peaceful.

Moreover, the investigators have complained to their superiors that for 10 days no actions have been taken on any criminal case, prompting the prosecutor's office to initiate an internal investigation. When they explain to the prosecutors that they cannot keep up due to the thousands of cases in their jurisdiction, the prosecutors do not listen, instead urging them to appeal to the government for new positions to be opened. It is clear that this is not very realistic; therefore, investigators see submitting resignation applications as the only way out of the situation.
