Gor Marlen Ayvazyan was born in the city of Hrazdan on August 7, 1991. After receiving an 8-year education at the Vanatur Secondary School No. 6, he moved to Poland, and later returned to his homeland in 2009 to serve in the Armenian army. He served in Jraghatsor, and on September 29, 2020, he headed to the battlefield in the direction of Jraghatsor. On October 3, he was wounded, and for several hours tried to crawl to a safe place.
During that time, he established communication with the command and requested assistance, but help was delayed. He then contacted a friend and shared details about his injury and the hours he spent wounded. He told his friend that he would not be taken prisoner, as he had a grenade nearby and would detonate it if the enemy reached him. They talked for a long time, and he informed his friend that the enemy was already approaching him.
He said goodbye to his friend, threw away the phone, and detonated himself, taking down several enemy fighters with him. Gor’s body was searched for a long time, and finally, on February 17, 2021, a DNA match was found.
Gor's right arm and head were missing, and his back and legs were tangled. His relatives identified him by his clothing and belongings… Hero Gor Ayvazyan rests at the Vanatur brotherly cemetery. Eternal glory to you, HERO…”
