Details of Incident on Armenian-Azerbaijani Border in Gegharkunik Province Revealed

Details of the incident that occurred on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border in the Gegharkunik province have been revealed. Earlier, it was reported that as a result of gunfire, 1 Armenian and 2 Azerbaijani servicemen were injured.

Sputnik Armenia has learned that a dispute had begun between the servicemen before the gunfire. At that moment, the distance between them was approximately 100 meters. Subsequently, a group of Armenian soldiers decided to approach the adversary unarmed in order to understand the situation.

The Azerbaijanis first fired in the air, and then aimed at the feet of the Armenian soldiers, injuring one of them. Response fire was also heard from the Armenian positions.
