Vahan Kerobyan Discusses Prospects of Producing Sputnik V Vaccine in Armenia and More in Russia

The acting Minister of Economy Vahan Kerobyan led a delegation that traveled to Russia on July 5 to participate in the 11th international industrial exhibition "Innoprom-2021" and the accompanying events.

On July 5, Vahan Kerobyan met with the Russian Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov at the "Innoprom-2021" international industrial exhibition platform. In a warm and friendly atmosphere, several important issues were discussed aimed at deepening trade and economic relations and cooperation in the industry sector between Armenia and Russia.

Both sides addressed the prospects for developing trade and economic cooperation between Armenia and the Sverdlovsk region and the activation of the working group's activities that was jointly established in 2020.

During the meeting, there were also discussions on the prospects for expanding the activities of Russian companies in Armenia's free economic zones. The Armenian side invited Russian industrial enterprises to participate as potential stakeholders in the newly established "Ararat" industrial park, as well as in the "Engineering City" project.

Additionally, opportunities for solar panel production in Armenia with the participation of Russian companies and exporting to third countries were discussed, along with the prospects related to the production of the Russian "Sputnik V" vaccine in Armenia.

On the same day, Vahan Kerobyan participated in the main plenary session of the exhibition, titled "From Flexible Production to High Technology Collaboration: New Perspectives." This year, the "Innoprom-2021" international industrial exhibition is attended by over 43,000 visitors and 600 industrial companies.
