Supreme Patriarch Aram I Sends Message to Pope Francis Wishing Him a Speedy Recovery

After returning from the Vatican, His Holiness Supreme Patriarch Aram I of the Cilician Catholicosate has sent a letter to Pope Francis, expressing gratitude for the warm reception and for his participation in the meeting of Christian spiritual leaders, as well as for his special care for the people of Lebanon.

This was reported by the Cilician Catholicosate. Aram I emphasized that the assembly convened at the Vatican once again highlighted the close cooperation of the churches on issues of concern, while also drawing the international community's attention to the urgent need for a prompt resolution to the difficult situation in Lebanon.

The Cilician Catholicos also wished for a speedy recovery for Pope Francis, who underwent surgery the day before.
