Russia Prohibits Foreign Capital Entry into Armenia, Says Aram Sargsyan

President of the Republic party Aram Sargsyan's statement: "My dear readers, I have decided to share my thoughts in an article form once again, because the heat and the political situation are making it difficult to sleep, and reflections compel me to write. It is clear and visible even to the ducks that the CSTO is a formal structure aimed at showcasing that Russia is supposedly a great power. Consequently, Stanislav's response was neither unpredictable nor surprising.

What to do with the CSTO... Nothing, it makes no sense to do anything with something meaningless. The question is what to do with Russia. Since 2015, Turkey has replaced its 'Soft Power' policy with a toolkit of brute force. In areas of Russian interests, Turkey is clearly attacking, while Russia is defending. Defending itself, it is conceding and losing everywhere. This is a well-known fact that even many at the Russian Defense Ministry understand and accept.

In the past, the Turks understood that crossing the red lines of the Russian state was not acceptable; now, they calmly and calculatively shift those lines to the detriment of Russia and in favor of Turkey. In Artsakh, contrary to Lavrov's claims, the presence of joint Russian-Turkish monitoring points, hints at establishing a Turkish military base in Azerbaijan, recognizing the President of Tatarstan as a leader of an independent state, and signing inter-state agreements between Turkey and Tatarstan, as well as Turkish-Ukrainian political and military cooperation are obvious evidence of Russia's not just defeat, but humiliation.

I am convinced that even the most ardent pro-Russian individuals would not counter what I have listed. Therefore, our problem should not be to further deepen our relations with Russia, as suggested by both the parliamentary opposition and the government, but to gradually replace what exists with EU and US political and economic components. We must also actively take steps towards the proposals from India, China, the UAE, and Iran. Only through this path can we strengthen our economy and enhance our army by arming it with new, competitive, and technological weaponry.

Russia has long ceased to be a strategic partner and has turned into a mediator. As sad as it is, failing to see this poses a risk of even sadder consequences and heavy losses for us. As a result, the world imposes sanctions against Russia, and Russia prohibits foreign capital from entering Armenia.

Our internal stability, our perception of unity and justice is also crucial. After defeat and so many losses, buying votes from our own people is tantamount to killing and enslaving the spirit, and then talking about justice afterwards is an example of profound immorality. In our case, a parliamentary system is a bad system prone to constant changes, yet there are no risks of a change in power by forming coalitions in today's parliament, and there has never been and will never be an economic rebellion in Armenia.

The parliamentary opposition also lacks the resources to block streets anymore, and in case they do, they will be accused of failing to solve the problem by resigning their mandates, just as they used to accuse BHK and LHK in the past... So, those who prophesy for their own team's interests are false prophets.

Aram Sargsyan

P.S. Dear reader, forgive me for how much I condensed it; still, it turned out long. But even if you don’t read it, you won't lose much because you already know all this... You know, and you must draw conclusions: Today, so you have a country to leave to your children tomorrow."
