Pashinyan to Assess Alen Simonyan, but Also to Monitor Him: 'Hraparak'
'Hraparak' newspaper reports: 'Despite the fact that the Civil Contract Party has not held a board meeting after the elections and has not determined who will be the President of the National Assembly, this question is considered resolved. This position will be held by the Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly, Alen Simonyan. Nikol Pashinyan has decided to evaluate his personal loyalty to him, but also to keep him under control and has sent Arsen Torosyan to the National Assembly, who will be elected as the leader of the faction. In this way, the Prime Minister will be able to monitor the complicated relationship between Simonyan and Torosyan, using the divide-and-conquer principle. Incidentally, Arsen Torosyan wanted to see Suren Papikyan in the position of Speaker of the National Assembly, while Alen Simonyan envisioned Haik Konyazyan as the leader of the Civil Contract faction.'
