Ceasefire Regime Maintained Along Contact Line in Nagorno-Karabakh: Russian Ministry of Defense

The ceasefire regime is being maintained along the entire contact line in Nagorno-Karabakh. According to a report by Armenpress, this information was announced by the Russian Ministry of Defense.

"The Russian peacekeeping forces continue to carry out tasks in the area. Peacekeepers monitor the situation around the clock at 37 observation points and oversee the adherence to the ceasefire regime. Russian peacekeepers ensure the safe movement of civilians," the report states.

It is noted that the engineering teams of the Russian peacekeeping forces are continuing their work to clear the territory of Nagorno-Karabakh of unexploded ordnance. "Since November 23, 2020, a total of 2,165 hectares of land, 657.3 kilometers of roads, and 1,892 buildings, including 30 social infrastructure facilities, have been cleared of unexploded munitions, and 25,640 explosive objects have been found and neutralized," the report indicates.

Efforts to coordinate the prevention of possible incidents in the area of responsibility of the Russian peacekeeping forces continue through ongoing cooperation with the general staffs of the armed forces of Armenia and Azerbaijan.
