Armenia Delivers Minefield Maps of Fizuli and Zangelan to Azerbaijan, 15 Individuals Transferred in Return: Azerbaijan's Foreign Ministry

On July 3, 2021, under the initiative of the Russian Federation, Armenia handed over maps of approximately 92,000 mines in the Fizuli and Zangelan regions to Azerbaijan. This was reported by the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry.

In the statement, it was mentioned, "We express our gratitude to Rustam Muradov, the commander of the Russian peacekeeping contingent temporarily deployed in Azerbaijani territory, for mediating in the humanitarian initiative to obtain these minefield maps."

The statement also noted that as a humanitarian step, the Azerbaijani side has handed over to Armenia 15 individuals who had been sentenced to imprisonment and whose terms have expired.
