What is China’s Position on the Situation Between Armenia and Azerbaijan

China's Ambassador to Armenia, Fan Yun, addressed the issue of the presence of Azerbaijani armed forces in the sovereign territory of Armenia. In a conversation with reporters, he noted that this matter is important for them, as they maintain friendly relations with both Armenia and Azerbaijan.

“The Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs has already commented on the presence of Azerbaijani troops in Armenian territory. Once again, I emphasize that we are trying to establish peaceful relations through the negotiation process between the two countries,” stated Fan Yun.

The Armenian Ministry of Defense reported on May 12 that Azerbaijani forces had invaded Armenian territory from several directions. As of now, the issue remains unresolved. According to official statements from Armenian authorities, active negotiations are ongoing with the Russian side to resolve the issue and withdraw Azerbaijani troops from Armenian territory.
