The Program 'Direct Line with Vladimir Putin' is Ongoing: The Number of Questions Exceeds One and a Half Million
The number of questions directed to Russian President Vladimir Putin within the framework of the annual 'Direct Line' has exceeded one and a half million, as reported by RIA Novosti.
In total, 1,574,581 applications have been received, of which over 675,000 were via phone, nearly 339,000 through text messages, more than 131,000 on the website, over 106,000 through the mobile app, and about 342,000 via social networks.
It is difficult to determine the trend of questions submitted to the 'Direct Line with Vladimir Putin' program, but this year, the main theme of the inquiries is the coronavirus, stated Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the Russian President.
'There are many questions, traditionally many. They come from various channels. The choice of topics fundamentally changes from year to year, so it is challenging to define any specific trend. This year, of course, the main focus is on COVID,' Peskov said.
Peskov further elaborated that questions are being received regarding vaccinations, the end of the pandemic, and its potential economic consequences.
It is noteworthy that the 'Direct Line' with the Russian leader has already begun.
