New Buses to Operate Route 97, Serving 9 Routes with 100 New Buses
Effective tomorrow, July 1, route 97 will commence operations with new compact class buses, replacing the current route 37.
The new route will be serviced by a fleet of 12 vehicles operating from 7:30 AM to 11:00 PM, following the route: EREBUNI ZANGVATZ - NOR NORKI 1ST ZANGVATZ. The full route includes:
- Erebuni Square (starting point) - Titogradyan - Ayvazovsky - Erebuni Streets - Artsakh - T. Metsi Streets - Republic Square - Amiryan Street - Mashtots - Marshal Baghramyan Streets - Kasyan Street - Komitas Street - D. Anahiti - Rubinnyants Streets - Gay Street - Lvovian Street - Nor Norki 1st Zangvatz.
The return route is the same as above.
As a reminder, 8 routes (26, 38, 99, 74, 24, 47, 22, 46) are already in operation with the new compact class buses. Thus, 100 new compact buses purchased through the community budget are now fully operational, serving a total of 9 routes in Yerevan.
Passengers are reminded to pay upon boarding. The metal coin machine only accepts 100 dram coins. If you do not have a 100 dram coin, the driver may provide change initially, but it is recommended to have exact change. An electronic payment system will be introduced soon.
Bus interiors are monitored by video surveillance for the safety of passengers and general traffic safety considerations. Drivers are in special uniforms and have been specifically instructed not to smoke or use their phones while driving.
