Catholicos Aram I and Pope Francis to Deliver Joint Speech at the Vatican
The Catholicos of the Great House of Cilicia, His Holiness Aram I, will travel to the Vatican on June 30 to participate in a meeting of Christian spiritual leaders from Lebanon, which will also be attended by Pope Francis.
The meeting is set to take place on July 1 and will consist of two parts: a discussion on the current situation in Lebanon and a public ceremony focused on supporting Lebanon.
In the first part of the meeting, speeches will be delivered by Pope Francis, Catholicos Aram I, and the Patriarch of Raï. The Catholicos of Cilicia is expected to address Lebanon's current economic and political situation and explore possible pathways out of the crisis, responding to an invitation from Pope Francis.
His Holiness Aram I has played a significant role in organizing this meeting, having sent a letter to Pope Francis two months ago, which received extensive coverage by Lebanese, European, and Vatican media.
