Netherlands National Team Is Without a Coach

The head coach of the Netherlands national team, Frank de Boer, has departed from his position. The country’s football federation announced that his contract has been terminated due to the team failing to achieve its goal in Euro 2020.

It is worth noting that the Netherlands national team lost 0-2 to the Czech Republic in the Round of 16, thus exiting the tournament.

“We were unable to achieve the goal we aimed for, which was to reach the quarter-finals of the Euro. When I was offered to lead the national team, I understood that it was not only a great honor but also constant immense pressure. Now that pressure has only increased, and this is not a healthy situation for me. I want to thank the fans and the players. Thanks also to the federation, which has been able to create a sporting atmosphere within the team,” said De Boer.

It should be noted that the Dutch specialist took charge of the national team in September 2020.
