Moscow Mayor Announces Start of Pilot Vaccination Program for Migrants
A vaccination point for labor migrants has opened at the ''Sadovod'' shopping center in Moscow. Thus, there are currently two vaccination points available for migrants in the Russian capital, reports RIA Novosti.
Earlier, a vaccination point for migrants was opened at the Sakharov multifunctional center. The operating hours of the new vaccination point are from 08:00 to 20:00, and it can serve more than 2,000 people per day.
Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin has announced the start of a pilot vaccination program for migrants in the city. According to him, the vaccination will initially be conducted using the 'Sputnik Light' vaccine, which requires only one dose.
Initially, labor migrants will be vaccinated based on applications submitted by employers, who must meet the requirements established by the Moscow Chief State Sanitary Doctor's decision regarding mandatory vaccination in various sectors. This includes trade, services, public catering, transportation, healthcare, utilities, multifunctional centers, education, culture, and organizations that work with children.
By August 15, at least 60% of employees in such organizations must be vaccinated with both components of the vaccine.
The cost of vaccination services for migrants is covered by employers, who also receive vaccination certificates for their employees. The service costs 1,300 rubles per employee.
