Will Levon Ter-Petrosyan's Party Appeal to the Constitutional Court?

The Armenian National Congress (ANC), despite noting that the snap parliamentary elections were marred by numerous violations, will not appeal to the Constitutional Court.

"We will not be appealing to the Constitutional Court," ANC Vice President Levon Zurabyan said in an interview with Factinfo.

It is important to recall that earlier the ANC had issued a statement emphasizing that the parliamentary snap elections held on June 20 were far from free and fair. In its statement, the ANC specifically noted that the authorities fully utilized administrative resources during the elections, and there were instances of military-directed voting.

"The snap parliamentary elections held on June 20 were far from free and fair and represented a significant regression compared to the 2018 elections. Despite numerous promises and guarantees given, the authorities failed this test as well, hindering the path of democratic development in Armenia," the statement reads.
