Video: Woman Reported Husband Missing; Body Found in Hatiss Field

The incident occurred last autumn. On November 2, a resident of the Jrvej community reported to the Kotayk police that her 35-year-old husband had left their home around 1:00 PM on October 31 to go to Balabovit and had not returned. This was reported by the police's press service.

The search efforts yielded no results, and on November 12, a criminal case was opened under the characteristics of murder.

As a result of various measures, information was obtained indicating that the 35-year-old man had been killed by a 25-year-old resident of Balabovit, who could not be located.

On April 28, police officers from the Criminal Investigation Department and Kotayk Regional Administration, in cooperation with investigators from the Kotayk police, discovered a head and body in a field within the administrative area of Hatiss. The clothing matched that of the missing man.

Prior to this, evidence of blood was found during a search of the suspect's home and garage, which, according to forensic genetic analysis, matched samples taken from the body.

On June 14, a wanted notice was issued for the 25-year-old resident of Balabovit on murder charges.

As a result of explanatory work with relatives, on June 23, the wanted individual presented himself to the Kotayk police station. He has been presented to the investigative body.

The preliminary investigation of the criminal case concerning the murder is ongoing.
