Man Who Shot at Another Individual and Fled Armenia Captured in Moscow
On June 26, a 35-year-old man registered in Shengavit was escorted back to Armenia on a flight from Moscow-Yerevan by officers of the Criminal Investigation Department of the police. He had been wanted since July 2012 by the Nor Nork police for attempted murder, with a measure of restraint being arrest.
The police report states that on June 22, 2012, he shot at a man using an illegally held firearm and fled the scene before leaving Armenia.
Officers from the Criminal Investigation Department, in collaboration with officials from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, conducted various operational-search activities and discovered that the fugitive was living in Russia using a friend's passport information.
This was substantiated, leading to the cessation of his Russian citizenship. Following this, he was located and arrested in Moscow. The investigation is ongoing.
