Journalists Injured in Accident; Car Overturned and Ended Up in Field

On June 26, an accident occurred in the Gegharkunik region. At around 14:00, 27-year-old Armen Garamyan, a resident of Yerevan, lost control of his Hyundai Sonata on the 39th kilometer of the Tsovagyugh-Shorja-Vardenis highway under still unknown circumstances. The vehicle veered off the road and overturned, landing in a field.

According to shamshyan.com, as a result of the accident, a passenger, 27-year-old Laura Karapetyan, also from Yerevan, was transported with injuries to the 'Jambarak' medical center. It is reported that both the driver and the passenger are journalists.

Note: The suspect in the alleged crime is presumed innocent until proven guilty in accordance with the procedures established by the Criminal Procedure Code of the Republic of Armenia, based on a legally binding court verdict.
