Fatal Pedestrian Accident on Gyumri-Marmashen Highway

On June 25, 2021, around 10:00 PM, a resident of Keti village in the Shirak region hit a 55-year-old woman from Gyumri while driving along the Gyumri-Marmashen highway. The incident occurred in front of the address at Marmashen highway 9/6, where the victim succumbed to her injuries at the scene.

This information was reported by the Investigative Committee. In connection with the incident, a criminal case has been initiated in the Shirak regional investigative department of the Republic of Armenia's Investigative Committee under part 2 of Article 242 of the RA Criminal Code.

During the preliminary investigation, examinations of the accident scene, the body, and the vehicle were conducted, and a forensic examination of the body has been ordered. The driver and passenger of the vehicle have been questioned. The investigation is ongoing.
