CSTO Ready to Extend Political, Military, and Military-Technical Support to Tajikistan

The Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) is prepared to provide support to Tajikistan in light of the situation that has emerged along the Afghan border. This announcement was made by the organization's press secretary, Vladimir Zainetdinov.

"The CSTO will provide all necessary assistance requested by Tajikistan, should it make an appeal. This support is outlined in the Collective Security Treaty and the CSTO charter. It could include political, military, and military-technical assistance," he stated.

"So far, Tajikistan has not appealed to the CSTO regarding the situation that has arisen in Afghan territory near the republic's border," Zainetdinov added.
