Criminal Investigation Committee Reports Armed Robbery at Credo Finance

A person committed an armed robbery at a branch of Credo Finance in Yerevan, targeting the property of others. The incident occurred between 11:02 and 11:04 AM on June 28. The assailant entered the premises and, using an object resembling a pistol and threatening with life-endangering violence, attacked the company’s employees demanding money. The robber also requested to open a fireproof safe, from which he personally stole a significant sum of 2,730,990 AMD belonging to the company, and then fled the scene.

The Investigative Committee reported that a criminal case has been initiated in the Malatia-Sebastia division of the Yerevan Investigation Department under articles 175, parts 2, clauses 2 and 4 of the RA Criminal Code. During the pre-trial investigation, necessary investigative actions and other procedural measures have been carried out, including an examination of the crime scene, and several individuals have been interrogated. A forensic genetic examination has been appointed to clarify significant circumstances related to the case.

The investigation is ongoing. Measures are being taken to clarify all circumstances of the case, identify the alleged perpetrator, and locate him to present to the prosecuting body. Instructions have been given to the investigative authority.
