Azerbaijan to Conduct Joint Military Exercises with Turkey and Pakistan in September
The Minister of Defense of Azerbaijan, Zakir Hasanov, stated in an interview with Azerbaijani 'Real TV' that a number of Azerbaijani officers are receiving military training in Turkey. According to Hasanov, the Turkish armed forces play a crucial role in the combat readiness of Azerbaijani officers and the Azerbaijani army as a whole. He praised the preparedness and capabilities demonstrated by the Azerbaijani army during the second Nagorno-Karabakh war, noting that their army achieved this result thanks to the Turkish armed forces, as reported by Ermenihaber.
“In order to develop the maneuvering capabilities of the Azerbaijani army, joint military exercises will be conducted with the armed forces of Turkey and Pakistan. The exercises are scheduled for September and will involve special units from the armed forces of the three countries,” Hasanov said, adding that expert groups are currently conducting studies in Azerbaijan on the terrain where the exercises will take place.
