Azerbaijan Grants State Reserve Status to Shusha
Azerbaijan's President Ilham Aliyev has granted state reserve status to the city of Shusha in Nagorno-Karabakh. The corresponding decree has been published on the president's website.
According to the decree, a public legal entity named ‘Management of the State Reserve of Shusha City’ is being established with a charter capital of 1 million manat (over 588 thousand dollars). The document states that half of the revenue from the leasing of state property in the Shusha area will be transferred to the state budget, while the other half will remain at the discretion of the management of the reserve.
Earlier, the president of Azerbaijan also signed a decree officially declaring Shusha the cultural capital of the country.
