‘The People of Armavir Chose Nikol, Now They Demand Water from Him: There’s Nothing Extraordinary About It’ – Arthur Khachatryan

The former Minister of Agriculture and member of the ‘Hayastan’ Alliance, Arthur Khachatryan, wrote on his Facebook page: ‘The people of Armavir chose Nikol, and now they are demanding water from him. There’s nothing extraordinary or illogical about that. Who else would they ask? They are not going to demand it from me.’

‘The extraordinary and illogical part is different. In one of the villages of Armavir, Nikol spoke about selling the university buildings located in the center of Yerevan and constructing an academic city outside of Yerevan. The voters were thrilled; there was joy and excitement. Neither the voters nor the elected officials discussed agricultural policy, irrigation water, or the issue of poisoning people with chemicals in fruits and vegetables. Those things didn’t interest them,’ he added.

‘Therefore, I call for the regional road to be opened, to close Alek Manukyan Street, and keep it closed until Nikol sells the main university building and constructs an academic city in Arshalouis.’
