Dangerous Chicken Meat Imported to Georgia
According to the results of veterinary border control in Georgia, 82.5 tons of frozen chicken meat were seized at the "Poti Port" customs checkpoint. This information was reported by the Revenues Service of the Georgian Ministry of Finance to Jnews.
Harmful organisms posing a danger to human health were found in the frozen chicken meat. The agency did not disclose which country the batch was imported from.
By order of the National Food Agency of Georgia, the importing company’s right to bring goods into the country has been suspended for a period of one year, and the product has been processed.
