They Said Azerbaijanis Would Leave After the Elections, Where Are They Going, We Are Waiting: Kuthi Village Head
After the elections, the situation remains unchanged; there are no changes, and Azerbaijanis are still in the same positions, sitting on the heights of Kuthi, which is Armenian territory. They say this is our land and they are not leaving,” said Sima Chitchyan, the administrative head of Kuthi village in Gegharkunik region, in an interview with Yerkir.am, addressing claims that Azerbaijani troops would withdraw from Armenian territories in Gegharkunik after the elections.
“Yes, we also hope they will leave after the elections; we hope they will be removed from here. We are waiting for them to come and determine the borders, so we can peacefully harvest our hay. I don’t know how true it is that they will leave after the elections, but we are waiting with hope,” he added.
It is worth noting that on June 5, another incident took place in the border Kuthi village of Gegharkunik region. Enemy soldiers positioned near the village shot at a shepherd. While holding the shepherd under gunfire, the enemy abducted about 50-60 head of cattle from the Kuthi village livestock.
