MP Submits Resignation Application

The Speaker of the National Assembly of Armenia, Ararat Mirzoyan, announced the resignation application of MP Lusine Yeghanyan. In accordance with the first part of Article 155 of the constitutional law on the 'Rules of Procedure of the National Assembly', Lusine Yeghanyan submitted her resignation application on June 25.

According to the second part of the same article, if, within one week after the announcement of the resignation, the MP withdraws the resignation request in writing, the Speaker of the National Assembly makes a statement regarding this. If the MP does not withdraw her resignation request, a record of the cessation of her powers is prepared, which is signed and published by the Speaker of the National Assembly. The resignation is considered accepted from the moment of publication of the record.
