Heads of Air Defense Forces and Engineering Troops Dismissed by Presidential Decree

By the decree of the President of the Republic of Armenia Armen Sarkissian, the heads of the Air Defense Forces of the Armed Forces of Armenia, Armen Vardanyan, and the Engineering Troops, Ishkhan Matevosyan, have been dismissed from their posts. The decrees were published on the official website of the President of Armenia.

“Based on the first part of Article 133 of the Constitution, as well as point 11 of the first part of Article 40 of the Law on Military Service and the Status of Military Personnel, Armen Vardanyan is dismissed from the position of the head of the Air Defense Forces of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia,” the decree regarding the dismissal of the head of the Air Defense Forces states.

“Based on the first part of Article 133 of the Constitution, as well as point 11 of the first part of Article 40 of the Law on Military Service and the Status of Military Personnel, Ishkhan Matevosyan is dismissed from the position of the head of the Engineering Troops of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia,” the decree regarding the dismissal of the head of the Engineering Troops states.
