Call to Never Again Refer to Anonymous Sources When Initiating Criminal Cases: Charchyan's Lawyer to the SIS

Lawyer Aram Vardevanyan has called on the Special Investigation Service (SIS) to never again reference anonymous sources from the Telegram channel "Baghramyan 26" in decisions to initiate criminal cases. This was stated on his Facebook page.

“We have reviewed the supposed clarification from the SIS. In this regard, we call on the SIS to never again consider the press secretary as a prosecutorial subject who writes reports that form the basis for initiating a criminal case. We call for an immediate examination of the entire video available on 168.am involving the Professor and a public acknowledgment that there can be no reasonable suspicion under the conditions of the statement ‘choose whoever you want or don’t choose’ and ‘I say responsibly that there will be no repression,’ which were edited by ‘Baghramyan 26.’ Ultimately, WE CALL for the immediate removal of the detention of Armen Charchyan and a return to the legal sphere,” Vardevanyan wrote.
