Our Problems Are Not Resolved with the Deployment of Russian Border Guards in the Sotk-Khoznavor Section: Abrahamyan
In the Sotk-Khoznavor section, where Azerbaijan has penetrated deep into the territory of the Republic of Armenia in various directions since May 12, our issues are not fully resolved with the deployment of Russian border guards. This was stated by Tigran Abrahamyan, a former advisor to the President of Artsakh and a member of the "Honorary Mission" alliance, on his Facebook page.
He specifically noted: "It is still unclear where the Russian border guards will be stationed, considering that the issues regarding the demarcation of the border remain unresolved. Secondly, if there is a mirrored withdrawal of troops, then where will the Armenian and Azerbaijani units be located? As far as I understand, there is a political decision in Armenia regarding the deployment of the NSS border troops in that area. In this case, it is still unclear whether the RA army corps will have any deployment in these directions at all. I mean at least in the depth, which I consider to be extremely necessary at this stage. Various figures in the government make sporadic comments on these topics, but the contradictions and illogical statements prevent understanding the essence of the processes. In my impression, Armenia is absent from this process, and all clarifications and decisions are made in the framework of Russia-Azerbaijan or Russia-Turkey, where our interest is presented in a mediated manner."
