Arthur Ayvazyan, known by the nickname 'Manakh,' has been arrested

In the investigation of a criminal case regarding obscene language and threats of violence made during a live broadcast on his personal Facebook page, the court has granted the request to arrest Arthur Ayvazyan, who is known by the nickname 'Manakh,' as a preventive measure.

As previously reported, on June 9, 2021, at 01:33 AM, Ayvazyan organized a live broadcast accessible to all users of the social network through his personal Facebook page and the 'Armenian National Army' group. During this broadcast, he made derogatory remarks toward the military-political leadership of Armenia, the acting Prime Minister, and those who would vote for the party led by the acting Prime Minister in the upcoming snap parliamentary elections on June 20, 2021. This behavior grossly violated public order and demonstrated a blatant disrespect toward the members of society.

During the broadcast, Ayvazyan also issued threats of violence against the same group of individuals, which was accompanied by exceptional cynicism. Based on a sufficient combination of evidence, he has been charged under Article 258, Part 3, Point 5 of the Criminal Code of Armenia. He has been arrested, and the preliminary investigation is ongoing.
