Appeal Filed Against Decision to Detain Armen Charents

An appeal has been filed against the decision to detain Armen Charents, the director of Izmirlian Medical Center and a physician. This was reported by his lawyer Eric Aleksanyan on his Facebook page.

“We would like to inform the public that today we have filed an appeal against the court’s decision to detain Mr. Charents. Our fight continues,” he wrote.

It is noteworthy that the court issued the decision to detain Charents yesterday. He has been charged under Article 154.2 of the RA Criminal Code for bribing voters, receiving bribes, violating the prohibition on charity during elections, or obstructing the free will of voters. Armen Charents does not accept the accusations against him.
