12-Year-Old Boy Electrocuted in Yerevan Dies, While 11-Year-Old Remains in Critical Condition

According to SHAMSHYAN.com, a resident of Yerevan, 11-year-old Hrant Khachatryan, has died at the National Center for Burns in Yerevan on June 22. The young boy was admitted to the center on June 17 with a diagnosis of "Electric Burns - Flame - 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Degrees."

Also transported to the same center was another resident of Yerevan, 11-year-old Narek Keshishyan, suffering from the same diagnosis. Officers from the Yerevan Mashtots police department, who arrived at the hospital, discovered that the children had been electrocuted at the power distribution point on their street. Medical personnel had informed the authorities that the boys were in a state of unconsciousness.

According to G. Shamshyan's sources, H. Khachatryan and N. Keshishyan were neighbors.
