Tragic Accident in Ararat Region: 16-Year-Old Dies, 13-Year-Old Passenger Injured

A tragic car accident occurred today in the Ararat region, resulting in the death of a 16-year-old boy. The information was reported by shamshayn.com.

According to the website, around 17:30, a KIA vehicle overturned under unknown circumstances on the Vedi-Goravank-Ararat highway in the administrative territory of Goravank village. As a result of the accident, two individuals were transported to the Vedi medical center. While investigators were working at the scene, the hospital reported that one of the injured had died.

A criminal case has been initiated under Article 242, Part 2 of the RA Criminal Code (violation of traffic rules and regulations regarding the operation of vehicles).

The site reports that the deceased was identified as 16-year-old M. Vardanyan, a resident of Vedi city, while the injured party has been identified as 13-year-old E. Martirosyan from Yerevan.
