Artak Davtyan Comments on the Appointment of Samvel Babayan as Minister of Defense

The Chief of the General Staff of the Armenian Armed Forces, Artak Davtyan, has commented on reports in mass media regarding the appointment of former Secretary of the Security Council of the Republic of Artsakh, Samvel Babayan, as Minister of Defense of Armenia.

"I have no such information, and it is beyond the authority of the Chief of Staff to comment on this matter. I have no further statements," Davtyan stated during a conversation with reporters, as reported by Armenpress.

When asked if he plans to continue his tenure in the near future, Davtyan replied that he is a military officer and will serve until a relevant decision is made.

"I do not possess such information," the Chief of Staff emphasized.
