We Do Not Accept the Election Results: '5165' Movement

The '5165' movement has issued a statement:

"We would like to express our gratitude to the citizens of the Republic of Armenia who trusted us and voted in favor of the '5165' movement. Every one of these votes is incredibly valuable and obliging to us, and we assure you that our ongoing struggle will demonstrate the significance of your trust.

At the same time, we must emphasize that the conducted elections were riddled with widespread violations. Throughout the entire campaign, government resources were utilized, long-known methods were implemented, an unprecedented atmosphere of hatred was generated by various forces, threats and calls for violence were voiced, there were inflated voter lists and inaccuracies, and power outages occurred during the counting of votes.

Given these circumstances, the '5165' movement believes that these elections do not meet the standards of democratic elections and does not accept the election results. Regardless of the officially published results, the '5165' movement considers the existence of the current administration to be disastrous for our statehood, and we will continue our fight for the Armenian people and Armenia."
