We declare that we do not recognize the received results: The 'Honorable' Alliance issues a statement
Dear compatriots, a fateful new phase has concluded for our country. Unfortunately, as we predicted, these elections did not become the choices for ensuring the security of Armenia and Artsakh, restoring the state’s sovereignty, or regaining the lost dignity. This was stated in a statement by the 'Honorable' Alliance.
These results do not signify light at the end of the tunnel, but unfortunately represent a new thickening of darkness.
The elections did not become a political process, nor did they transform into a roadmap for pulling Armenia back from the edge of the abyss. Instead, we witnessed unlawful repressions against the opposition by the security forces, baseless searches and arrests in the homes of opposition activists and in opposition headquarters, wiretapping of activists and headquarters members, thus leading to numerous blatant incidents of obstructing the opposition's efforts during the pre-election phase and on election day, as well as clear instances of directing voters through the use of administrative levers by the authorities.
These disgraceful elections did not solve our people's problems; rather, they are creating new, more difficult obstacles for a secure, stable, and dignified future for Armenia and Artsakh. Our national interests will continue to be subordinated to various other interests by the capitulatory authorities.
We declare that we do not recognize the received results as legitimizing the territorial and human losses from the last war in Artsakh, as affirming Armenia's status as a bargaining chip in geopolitical trade, or as a defeat of the national interest against a false and immoral reality.
At the same time, we are confident that the genuine opposition must also acknowledge its mistakes and omissions. Participating in the elections was a mistake in the post-war shock and the crisis situation created within the country, but it is a greater mistake to lay the entire burden of failure on society.
The struggle will continue. We have no right to leave our sacred land, which our ancestors fought for, and the priceless future of our children on that land, to the traitors who have surrendered our state's sovereignty and misled the people.
Our future decisions and actions will stem from this reasoning. Meanwhile, we express our gratitude to all our esteemed compatriots who voted for our alliance. Your concerned and honorable voices, your expectations, and hopes will be the foundation of our decisions.
