There Are No Enemies Within Armenia, There is Law, and Everyone is Equal Before the Constitution and Laws, Papikyan
“Yesterday, with your vote, you gave the opportunity to form a government to the ‘Civil Contract’ party. You have given the chance for the PM candidate from the CP to be elected as the Prime Minister of the country,” Suren Papikyan addressed the people during a rally held in Republic Square.
“The process of reproducing through disgraceful methods—enslaving, bribing, and intimidating the people—is now closed in Armenia. Yesterday, we reaffirmed the values brought by the 2018 revolution. Yesterday we showed that despite our challenges, our wounds, we stand strong on our feet and are ready to straighten our spine. And this is for everyone to hear—in the hearing of the world, for all doubters, for those who harbored other hopes. Yesterday, we sent all your plans to the past, to the garbage bin,” Papikyan said.
According to him, preliminary data from the CEC indicates that their political force has received the support of about 54 percent of the citizens who participated in the election. “687,414 citizens have given their vote of confidence, have given a steel mandate to the ‘Civil Contract’ party and the PM candidate Nikol Pashinyan. This is a great obligation, but it is also your determination that has been conveyed to us. Accordingly, we must also note that as a result of June 21, 2021, we have been given the opportunity to be in power not only for our voters but for every citizen of the Republic of Armenia. This is very important, and once again we must state that there are no enemies within Armenia; there is law, and everyone is equal before the Constitution and laws—with all the consequences that derive from that,” Papikyan announced.
