Professor Armen Charchyan Detained

The head of Izmirlian Medical Center, medical doctor and professor Armen Charchyan has been decided by the Special Investigative Service to be involved as a suspect. This information was provided by his lawyer Erik Aleksanyan.

At the same time, the investigator has decided to file a motion to choose detention as a measure against Mr. Charchyan. According to the lawyer, Charchyan denies the charges brought against him, has refused to testify, and asserts that the persecution against him has political overtones.
