Preliminary Voting Results Announced

As of 08:30, the Central Election Commission has calculated the results of all ballots for the early parliamentary elections. These results are based on 2008 polling stations.

The votes are distributed as follows:

1. «Civil Contract» - 53.92%
2. «Armenia» Alliance - 21.04%
3. «I Have Honor» Alliance - 5.23%
4. «Prosperous Armenia» - 3.96%
5. «Republic» - 3.04%
6. Armenian National Congress - 1.54%
7. «Shirinyan-Babajanyan Democratic Alliance» - 1.50%
8. «National Democratic Pole» - 1.47%
9. «5165» National Conservative Movement - 1.22%
10. «Bright Armenia» - 1.22%
11. «Liberal» - 1.15%

Thus, the following parties will enter the parliament: the «Civil Contract» party as the majority, the «Armenia» Alliance, and the «I Have Honor» Alliance, which did not pass the 7% threshold but will enter parliament as the third force with the most votes.
