It Is Too Early to Discuss the Impact of Election Results on the Nagorno-Karabakh Issue – Lavrov

The parliamentary elections in Armenia have just concluded, and it is too early to speak about the impact of their results on the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh. This was stated by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, according to TASS.

During negotiations with OSCE Secretary General Helga Schmid, Lavrov mentioned that it is necessary to wait for the formation of a government in Armenia.

“We proceed from the standpoint that the trilateral statement that halted the war, as well as the second statement, are operational and align with the interests of the involved parties,” he said.

Schmid agreed with Lavrov on this point.
