Elections Should Transform into Public Solidarity, on Which We Will Build the Framework of Our Free State: Avinyan

The elections held through the free will of the people symbolize a brilliant victory for democracy and embody the practical success of the 2018 revolution. The Acting Prime Minister of Armenia, Tigran Avinyan, commented on the extraordinary elections that took place yesterday on his Facebook page.

“In 2018, power was returned to the people through the revolution, and since then we have always promised that we would not allow the people to be alienated from the right to vote. The free, fair, and transparent elections held on Sunday marked another significant step towards democracy in Armenia, expressing our decisive will that in our country, power belongs to the people, and this is now an irreversible fact,” he stated.

“The elections held through the free will of the people symbolize a brilliant victory for democracy and embody the practical success of the 2018 revolution. This election should simultaneously transform into public solidarity, on which we will build the framework of our free and democratic state,” Avinyan added.
