CIS Observer Mission on Elections Held in Armenia
On June 20, during the extraordinary parliamentary elections, the CIS and CSTO observers found no violations, announced the head of the CIS observer mission, Ilhom Nemadov, while summarizing the results of the observer mission in Yerevan.
"The general opinion is that the elections commenced without noise and agitation. A collective final document has been prepared. The process was carried out in accordance with the requirements of the Electoral Code; the observers did not record any violations that could affect the election results. The process was conducted at a high organizational level," Nemadov stated.
The head of the mission mentioned that they have been in Armenia since May 31 and visited about 700 polling stations.
"We conducted the observer mission freely, impartially, without interfering in Armenia's internal affairs and based on the laws of Armenia," Nemadov highlighted.
According to him, the electoral commissions created all the conditions for the exercise of the right to free expression.
