Official Representative of the 'Armenia' Alliance Releases Statement

The official representative of the pre-election central headquarters of the 'Armenia' alliance, Aram Vardevanyan, has issued a statement, which reads:

“Once again, I warn that any such unlawful acts have not yielded results and will not yield results. This morning, we reported that a special operation plan had been developed by the NSS, the Police, and the outgoing government to paralyze the activities of the 'Armenia' alliance's pre-election headquarters in Sisian. Despite the fact that the Human Rights Defender had issued a statement regarding this incident, I personally spoke with the heads of the Syunik regional and Sisian police, and in all cases, at least one person from the headquarters is being forcibly taken to Yerevan without any grounds, allegedly just to collect explanations. It is noteworthy that law enforcement had all the grounds to wait until 20:00, however, the real purpose of this illegality was specifically to disrupt activities until the voting concluded. We call on organizations conducting monitoring missions to pay attention to the created situation.”
